RIIWHS202E Enter and work in confined spaces
his unit describes the skills and knowledge required to enter and work in confined spaces in the resources and infrastructure industries.
It applies to those working in operational roles. They generally work under supervision to undertake a prescribed range of functions involving known routines and procedures and take responsibility for the quality of work outcomes.

MSMPER200 – Work in accordance with an issued permit
This unit of competency covers the skills and knowledge required to work in accordance with an issued permit. It aims to ensure that people working under a permit to work understand the system, know the limitations of the permit under which they are working and comply with all the requirements of the permit. The people to whom this unit applies may be called ‘permit recipients’ or ‘permit holders’ by some organisations. Some organisations call ‘permits clearances’.
By completing this course, the participant will gain the knowledge and the skills to
- Apply for permit
- Identify the scope of the permit
- Prepare for permitted work
- Work in accordance with an issued permit
- Complete permit to work
Course Requirements
- Minimum 16 years of age.
- Fitness and agility to undertake tasks
- Not afraid of dark enclosed spaces
- Ability to understand and communicate in English
Mode of Delivery
- Classroom based (Face to face)
- Workplace training available on request
Certification
Upon successful completion of the course, students will be issued with
- Statement of attainment for the unit RIIWHS202E Enter and Work in Confined Spaces
- Statement of attainment for the unit MSMPER200 Work in accordance with an issued permit
- Students will be given a wallet sized card reflecting their achievement
USI
All participants doing nationally recognised training from January 1, 2015, need to have a Unique Student Identifier (USI).

Cancellation Policy
We are unable to refund monies for students who do not turn up for classes or decide later after booking that they do not want to attend. Changes to class times are allowed, but not within 48 hours of the class commencing.
